Description Trivial Pursuit DVD: Star Wars Saga Edition is a family quiz game for two to four players or teams (or two to twenty-four players according to the blurb on the box lid). The game carries a U-Universal rating but the makers suggest it's suited to players aged ten to adult. The game comes in a large oblong box that contains a fold-out game board, one die, two DVDs in a card wallet, twenty-four scoring wedges and four shiny metal character tokens Darth Vader; Luke Skywalker; Yoda and A N Other (probably Anakin Skywalker but the tokens are not labelled). The four characters are mounted on black token holders, when a question is answered correctly the appropriate coloured wedge is slotted into the base. Players have the choice of playing a traditional came based on the card questions or a game from the DVD, unlike many DVD titles the two forms are completely independent.

There are two discs each with ten separate games on them so the DVD questions do not get repeated and there's a space in the card wallet that holds the DVDs to record the name of the winner of each quiz. All questions appear as text on screen and on the question menu screen there is an option to enable speech so that the questions are spoken. Naturally the usual question categories of history, science etc don't apply in this game, these are the question categories used: • Blue - The Cantina: these questions are about specific scenes, cameo roles and alien races. • Pink - The Force: this features scenes in which the Force is used or referred to. • Yellow - Heroes, Villains & Scoundrels: the title says it all. • Brown - The Saga: these questions are about the movie plots, sub plots and story arcs. • Green - A Galaxy Far Away: a category devoted to the towns, cities, planets and galaxies of the Star Wars universe - at least the movie versions.

• Orange - Wildcard: a sort of miscellaneous group All questions are timed, initially the person who rolled the die gets to answer toe question but when the timer runs down to just five seconds remaining there's a sound and the screen changes to show that the question is now open to any player to answer. When the timer has expired the answer is revealed and whoever answered correctly gains a coloured wedge. When a player wins a game the DVD shows a sequence of celebratory clips from the movies followed by the game's credits. Both discs have the same introductory sequence and both contain bonus material in the form of another quiz.
