Hi, I have got the Toshiba USB DVB-T and I reinstalled Windows with the tuner still plugged in. So I forgot about it and now it would not be recognized by the Toshiba or Lite-on software in the devicemanager; it seems it was not installed correctly. I tried all the savvy drivers and I think the main problem is getting windows to recognize it with the correct drivers. Maybe I had corrupted the firmware on the usb dongle itself? Any ideas how I can force the dongle to take the drivers? Thanks in advance Craig. I have no luck in getting my TV tuner card to work with my HP Pavilion dv6113tx.

I have tried various drivers from the HP site (10.0.0.10 10.0.0.14) as well as the 32-bit Vista drivers (10.0.0.15) but have had no luck. The card is detected by Windows and the device seems to install ok (blue light comes on, no complaints from Windows about the drivers).

Furthermore, HP TV Play detects the device (as Digital DVB-T) but when I use HP TV Play to scan for channels the capture screen is blank - no static - just blank. I live in Australia and have set the region in HP TV Play accordingly, but am not having any luck with this at all. The machine originally had Windows Media Center on it, but has been rebuilt (partitions removed and reformatted etc.) with a personal copy of Windows XP Professional. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Frankvan, Microsoft does not have any information regarding the compatibility of this device with Windows 8.

I was unable to search for this device from the Windows Compatibility Center to check its compatibility. You may give it a try. The link for the Win Compatibility Center is: Type the complete name or the exact model number of the device and then search for it. It is the device manufacturer who should develope and release the drivers for their devices for the new operating systems.

So, the only people who can do something on this issue is the manufacturer of the Eastern DVB-T USB Receiver device. I've got a Terratec Cinergy Hybrid USB XS, and according to the W7 compatibilty chart, it is fully supported (It seems that Media Center (or the Receiver component) is not detecting the DVB-T channel - the analogue channel is fine. This worked fine on XP, Vista x64 (until SP2), and it will intermittently work on W7. Using both the drivers downloaded from Microsoft Update, and a later set of drivers for a different product, I'm still having issues. Sometimes the DVB-T channel is detected, sometimes it isn't. However, the device is being picked up and configured - or at least, this is what Device Manager reports.

Thanks - good advice, but unfortunately this doesn't solve the problem. What happens: Connect the USB TV tuner, device installs and configures. Start 7MC (or VMC SP2) and the device is detected - both analogue and digital tuners. XMC tunes and the device is accessible. If the device is disconnected, or the machine goes to standby, or is rebooted, the device gets re-detected and reinstalled as a separate device - so, now I have two devices registered for the same bit of physical hardware. The first device shows as a non-present device. Start xMC, and the device is detected, but only the analogue tuner is identified.

Deleting both device instances and the registry settngs for the device for xMC allows re-installation - so, the device only works once - on initial install and for the amount of time that the OS is up and the device is not disconnected. After this, the device only reports the analogue signal. When I try to watch live TV DVB-T content in Media Center the picture is distorted. It looks fuzzy From Untitled Album I know that the TV card is working correctly because I've used 3rd party software such as Sage TV and the software supplied by the card manufacturer to watch TV and the picture is clear, sharp and without distortion. Tuner is a Kworld DVB-T 160-2T running driver 9.603.1.630 Graphics Card Radeon 4650 running driver 8.661.0.0 Both are running certified drivers and are the most up to date available. HP USB DVB-T TV Tuner P/N 300AA867-DDS Model A867 I have installed the unit trying several drivers and a fix from MS to no avail. I keep getting an error message saying that the tuner will not work in my region(US) and then refers me to a list of windows verified tv tuners. HP doesn't even recognize this unit on their support pages. Any suggestion on how to get this working either with Media Center or some other free media program. I am running Win 7 home on an HP Pavillion DV6. I bought the tuner in the first place after discovering the driver installed in my notebook. Thanks in advance for the help.

Were there any changes made on the computer prior to the issue? What is the complete and exact error message? Method 1: Run the hardware and devices troubleshooter and check if it helps: Method 2: I would suggest you manually download and install the drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check if it helps: Hope it helps. I have been looking through all the threads related to using this device on Windows Vista and I have tried all the changes I have found so far.

Savvy TV starts up in Vista Ok now. It used to not do this with old drivers. I do an Auto Scan and this completes successfully. As soon as I click the 'OK' button in this screen; where the scan has completed and the channels are listed, my Vista Home Laptop reboots. Windows reports a BlueScreen error. I have installed the new drivers down loaded from the Toshiba web site I have checked XP compatability mode I have recently tried another manufactures USB DVB-T stick borrowed and that works on my Vista. My stick still works fine on XP.

Any help appriciated Phil. Hi Wilfredfoster, Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community. Sorry to know that you are facing an issue to use the dvb-t usb stick on Windows 7. Hello All, I am trying to datacasting some data over dvb-t network, and using the dvb-t usb dongle to received the data. We are using the IP encapsulator to broadcast the data, we are able to see those data on the transport stream. And by using BDA MPE filter, we can see there is data on microsoft TV/Video connection (analysis by the sniffer software) we are writing a program which will grab those data, however we dont know how to get those data from the microsoft TV/Video connection is there any document that i can read relate to this issue? Or anyone know how to decode those data?

All i know is that the BDA MPE filter well direct the data to BDA IP sink and it will create a vitural network and in NDIS stack Thank you Regards, Charlie. Hello All, I have a PC with this TV tuner card in (AF9013/AF9015 chipsets) which worked perfectly with Kaffeine until the kernel 3.3.1 update (the first of the 3.3 series). Kaffeine reported device not found, despite all the modules and firmware being correctly installed.

The fix was to downgrade back to 3.2.13 kernel. After Googling around, I found that the drivers for the chipsets used had been rewritten, so assumed some issue with that. I tested each 3.3-series kernel released, all failed the same way. I then discovered that there were known issues with USB-based DVB cards, and there were lots of fixes and updates in the 3.4 kernel, so eagerly awaited that.

3.4.2 was finally released yesterday and I upgraded. Same thing: Computer (Kaffeine) says No.

To verify this was an Arch issue, and not a kernel/Kaffeine problem, I downloaded the latest Sabayon DVD image, the only other KDE-based distribution with a 3.4 kernel that I could find. Booted that up, and installed the Kaffeine package: works perfectly. So, has anyone else had this problem, or similar problems with DVB/DVT cards?

For reference, heres the relevant details of the system: uname -a 3:55Linux sarum 3.4.2-2-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Jun 11 22:27:17 CEST 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux lsmod grep af 2:17af9013 18135 2 dvb_usb_af9015 27317 4 dvb_usb 17288 1 dvb_usb_af9015rc_core 13088 4 dvb_usb,dvb_usb_af9015,rc_leadtek_y04g0051i2c_core 20369 5 i2c_i801,dvb_usb,af9013,nvidia,tda18271usbcore 147533 6 uhci_hcd,dvb_usb,ehci_hcd,usbhid,dvb_usb_af9015 lsusb 2:13PMBus 003 Device 002: ID 0413:6a04 Leadtek Research, Inc. Can anyone confirm this is correct or that the dish connection is supportrd by the set. Thanks DVB-T (digital terrestrial) YES DVB-T2 (digital terrestrial) YES DVB-S (digital satellite) - DVB-S2 (digital satellite) - DVB-C (digital cable) YES CI+ YES Analog YES Solved! Go to Solution.

No matter what I try, I cannot get Mplayer to play dvb-t from my TV card (Hauppage HVR3000). I have a valid channels.conf file, and I have tried just about every idea Google has to offer, but still with no success.

The problem seems to be that Mplayer does not access the correct device for the multi-tuner TV card. The DVB-T tuner is at /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend1, but when I run mplayer -v dvb:// I get the following messages: Playing dvb://. Get_path(sub/) - /home/lawson/.mplayer/sub/ TUNER TYPE SEEMS TO BE DVB-S. Hi all, I am having trouble building linux-aufs_friendly 3.6.5-1 - is anyone having any luck?

Hi, I am writing an application to grab and render the video from a USB Digital TV Receiver, compatible with BDA.

Before writing code, I use GraphEdit to build the connections. The actual GraphEdit has the blocks: Microsoft DVB-T Network Provider - USB TV Tuner - USB Device - Mpeg PUSH Demux. When I click start, there is no output pins from the MPEG PUSH Demux. This is because there is no channel locked, though in the DVB-T NetWork Provider Properties Page I have set the Carrier Frequency. How can I resolve this issue?

Is it really possible to set the frequency in GraphEdit? Thanks, Thiago.

The tuner works fine (in theory, at least - I have no digital TV at my place - it cannot find any TV channel - but it is not an issue here), however I cannot use my remote controller. I searched the forum for answers but there where only topics related to built in tuners (I tried all the tips, though, except for disconnecting the wires - as I have no built in IR receiver).

The battery in the RC is okay (using cell phone I can see the light). Should I install any additional driver?

I installed the drivers from the CD I got with the tuner. My OS is Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Looking forward to any help. Regards, Tomasz.

Just bought a TV@nywhere A/D NB for use with an old notebook i own (acer aspire 1662wlmi/P4 @ 3Ghz/1GB ram/Ati mobility9700 64Mb ram). The radio and and the analog Tv works like a charm but the DVB-t video is very crapy. Is keeps losing a lot of frames, mostly it freezes and the audio is not contitious.I tryed to use drivers for compatible cards but it does the same. Am i missing something (a codec maybe)? I have installed (some months before the cards purchase) the ccc codec and also the nimo codec package. Is there any chance that these codecs interfere withe the codecs the Viewer uses for DVB-t video? I am thinking that maybe the VGA is old and slow but i would like to have your opinions.

I recently bought a Slimline model that came with a TV Tuner card, the AVerMedia H789 PCI-E Hybrid. The computer also has a IR extender board, to plug in external IR receivers or to connecto to a set-top box, and an internal IR receiver, built in the card reader. The problem is the TV tuner card can decode the analog signal used in my country, PAL-M, but not the digital one, ISDB-T (it works instead with the DVB-T signal), so I wanted to replace the AVerMedia card with another which could get me digital TV as well.

I believe that doing this, though, would render the internal IR receiver useless, because, after opening the CPU, it seemed as though the two were connected (a black wire containing yellow, red, orange, black and white mini wires was connected to both, but I can't confirm it's the same one, beacuse visibility is bad). Another strong evidence is that the IR extender board is only connected to the TV card, and this HP article says that if the extender is connected only to the TV card, then the IR receiver is connected to the TV card as well. Also, in the device manager, there aretwo devices under 'Human Interface Devices': Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver (in: IR consumer devices) and AVerMedia Consumer Infrared Receiver (in: AVerMedia H789 PCI-E Hybrid DVB-T). So, what am I to make of this? Are the TV tuner and the IR receiver connected? Will the IR receiver work without the TV tuner?

If not, could I re-connect the IR receiver (and perhaps the IR extender board) to a new card? Hello!I had a problem with my dvb-t usb tuner not beeing recognised so I installed this package from AUR as I have exactly the same chip. After that dmesg told that the firmware is now accepted, but the device connects, device file appears at /dev/dvb, but it disconnects and reconnects every 1-2 seconds. The following messages appear in the output of dmesg repeatably all the time while the device is plugged in: [ 788.914390] dvb-usb: ITE 9135(9006) Generic successfully deinitialized and disconnected.

I have Direct TV and would like to watch tv on my computer. I had Comcast Cable previously and used ATI All In Wonder 9000 PROcard to watch tv.

Direct TV uses a DSS signal whereas other satellite companies use DVB signal, and there are plenty of DVBPCI satellite cards. I could connect one of 3 satellite receivers to the computer, but I'm not positive if ATI Multimediasoftware (tv tuner)would recognize satellite signal. When you try to install the drivers for HDTV USB you get message that it needs to be run on a x86 system whereas you have Windows 7 on a 64 bit.

What is the make and model of the HDTV? There are no general drivers for HDTV. The drivers are designed by the manufacturers that are compatible with the model/make of the HDTV. To search for drivers you may use your favorite search engine and use your HDTV model/make. The HDTV manufacturer’s website should have a page that allows you to download the drivers for the make/model you own. Hope this information was helpful.

During the install process Windows 7 automatically installs a driver for the Aver A800 DVB-T receiver. The Aver TV program itself (the Vista x64 version) works with Windows 7. Watching TV, recording, programmed recording, etc.) The Win7 Media Center itself is able to find the receiver (connected via USB) but crashes every time when looking for channels. The crash results in a bluescreen or simply a system freeze (something I never saw in Vista;) ) Does anybody know if you have to do something special to make it work with the MC? Is this a USB-receiver problem with Windows 7? A friend of mine reports the same issue with another USB DVB-T receiver (Terratec Cinergy S USB)?

I have a new AE2400 that seems to be working fine apart from. I have purchased and installed the Mini DVB-T tuner card (MSI Model A336) Under Win7 MCE (Ver 6.1.7601. Bodyguard Champlain Treadmill Manual there. 17514) the Tuner Card is unable to locate any Channels. I have updated the drivers. I have verified that a signal is present from the antenna socket Device Manager reports the card as AVerMedia A336 MiniCard Hybrid DVB-T (Driver Version 10.2.64.48) Other bits PAL Region Australia Antenna Any suggestions on how I can get it working? At stands an installation guide on a (I presume) debian - based system.
