If you buy a new computer, specifically ask for Windows XP to be installed instead of Vista or format the drive and put XP on it yourself. Windows XP can do 98% of what Vista can and Vista has loads of anti-user features. I have a windows vista, its ok. But you wont be able to avoid it for much longer, Windows is going to totally 'abandon' the XP, like it did when it changed from Windows 98 to Windows XP.
